How to stay safe while trading on ServerBay

General Precautions

  • Verify the Provider: Research the seller's company name. Look for reviews on external forums like LowEndTalk, WebHostingTalk, or Trustpilot.

  • Use Secure Payment Methods: Choose payment methods that offer buyer protection, such as PayPal Goods & Services or Credit Cards. Be extremely cautious with non-refundable methods like Crypto or Direct Bank Transfers unless the provider is reputable.

  • Check IP Reputation: Ask the seller for a test IP or a looking glass link to check network latency and ensured the IP isn't blacklisted.

Red Flags

Be wary if:

  • The price is too good to be true for the specs provided.
  • The seller insists on moving the conversation to an encrypted platform only (like Telegram) and avoids official support channels.
  • There is no clear Terms of Service or Privacy Policy link on the provider's own website.
  • The seller refuses to provide basic hardware details.
